Mirik, a nest in the hills, is one of the hill resorts at an altitude of 1967 meters with its own special charms-49km. from Darjeeling and 52km. from Siliguri. 1.25km. long Lake is fed by perennial streams. Very often you may find the glory of Kanchenjunga reflected in the Lake waters. A rich forest of thousands of Cryptomaria-Japanica trees clothes the slopes on the west. A 305km. zigzag foot walks takes you along the Lake a sleek foot bridge connects the garden on the east with the woods on the west.Alone or in company, you are sure to enjoy a boat-ride in the Lake.

Lepchajagat Nature Resort (WBFDC)

      A very beautiful place with a view of Kanchanjangha from the roof top. Different types of birds, fern, and silence caused a great pleasure. It is a must see for all nature lovers. You can visit Jorepokhri, about 10 kms, Nepal border which is about 12 kms. Darjeeling is about 23 kms. from Lepchajagat.
